Last time I wrote about WordPress security best practices and I guess my post was not so popular because someone tried an SQL Injection just to see if I am secure enough as I pretend.
At 7th point in that article I was telling you to change the prefix of database tables from wp_ to something else but I also warned you that this is a tricky part as you might end up with your blog broken. I usually do this part quickly by exporting the database tables, editing them offline, and importing the modified tables. The problems may appear when editing the exported file, so I will give you a second way of doing this job without problems. The disadvantage now is that it will take you more time, but it is easier.
I will post this article in English because it is of international interest, and everyone should be aware of the following security issues.
Starting last week, several Romanian blogs were hacked and infected with trojans or scripts. As a web design company, the security of our websites is critical, so at first sign of a virus we close down all our projects and solve first the vulnerabilities and security flaws.
Last week one of our computers was infected with Trojan-Dropper.Win32.HDrop.aa after browsing some blog posts. Since we use a feed daemon, we couldn’t tell that time, which one of more than 400 blogs we are following was the culprit.
Until today we could identify two blogs with different infections, none of them with the virus who infected our computer. We are still looking. So, what we discovered so far:
- http://skykery.info – infected with Trojan.JS.Agent.awm
- http://www.grimcris.com – malicious script that tries to execute something from http://bluejakin.ru
Both infections were blocked by Kaspersky Antivirus. We cannot access the first blog, while on the second one only the script is blocked. Both links to these blogs were removed from this post to prevent accidental infection.
These days I was looking for a 2010 pocket calendar template, but it seems they are hard to find, for FREE. So, the only solution for me was to create myself a template. The hard part was to generate the table with all 365 days.
Anyway this is not a tutorial about how to do it, but I will share the template in .eps format (editable with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw, InkScape or even Photoshop or GIMP).
The template is an A4 document with 4 calendars on both sides (front and back), ready for printing. Each calendar is 105 x 75 mm (the standard dimension of Romanian Identity Card).

Squiz Cards are the small, fun, waterproof way to give out your contact info to people you meet.
Squiz business cards are unique plastic mini business cards that won’t wear or bend around the edges. They are waterproof and come with a keyring dispenser so you’re never caught without them. You make them through their unique browser-based editor and they are delivered worldwide.
At the end of October I ordered a set of business cards with a free dispenser from Squiz Cards. Today, after 2 weeks from shipping, my cards arrived. The package traveled a long journey from USA, through Australia (as the post office stamp on the box states this), to Romania.
Here are some pictures to show you how great these cards are…
Whether you are designing a logo, a brochure or a website, typography plays an important role. In this article I present you some amazing 3D designs that may inspire you, or help in the future with your projects.
I cannot put some links to where I got these images from, because I saved them on my computer over time and I forgot where I first saw them.
